Bass fishing isn’t just a hobby, it is a way of life. Our family is dedicated to the promotion and conservation of bass fishing in every way we can. We support the Annual Bass Life Associates Sportsman’s Dinner, while participating as members of the board of directors of Bass Life, we provide news and media on all of the major competitive fishing circuits and we provide one of the best bass fishing communities online that there is today.
Bass fishing has always come second nature to me. I think that I was just meant to fish. My dad took me fishing when I was young but his idea of fishing was to sit still and wait for the fish to come to you. I just couldn’t sit still that long. I can remember him telling me to sit still, and that if I kept on making all that racket I would never catch any fish. I can still remember the very first bass that I caught. I didn’t know what it was at the time, dad said it was a sun fish and no good to eat so he promptly took it off the hook and threw it back in the river. Looking back remembering that day I can picture that little fish and know for certin that it was a baby bass.
I totally have ADHD and ADOS. For those of you who don’t now what ADOS is, it is Attention Deficit OH Shinny! I know it is crazy, but everyone in my life says it only takes a little sparkle and I am totally distracted from the task at hand so fishing is perfect for me.
Mike and I have been bass fishing since we met and it has become a way of life for us. I started my own blog because I want to write about things that are not necessarily on the article list over at ultimatebass.com. I like to post short stories, photos and just a little bit more fun info than the more serious side of the house, so here we are at Bass Fishing with Laurie. I hope you find something that you like here and I hope you add it to your favorites and return once in a while to see what’s new.
